Accessories
Molspin offer a number of accessories to complement your equipment purchase:-
Mu-Metal Containers - these shield your specimens once collected in the field until you can house them appropriately back in your laboratory. The containers are approximately 75mm diameter and 100mm deep and are supplied lined in plastic to prevent (as far as possible) sample degradation by abrasion.
Large Sample Containers - these perspex boxes are designed to house the large sample which you are submitting for verification of the North pole vector. The sample may be a specific object (one client has been using the Large Sample Minispin on objects in a museum) or disturbed soil from an archaeological dig (as used by another client). These sample holders are designed to work with and needed for the Large Sample Minispin only. Large sample containers are supplied in multiples of 10.
Environmental Sample Pots - these clear polystyrene lidded pots are designed to hold small spoil/soil samples and operate with the standard Minispin and demagnetizer. They are primarily aimed at those studying environmental magnetizm and your equipment must be able to carry these items. The sample pots can be purchased direct from a UK supplier (click here to go to their website - you need Azlon BGG440 containers which have a catalogue no. on this website of CO/16602) or can be supplied by Molspin in multiples of 10.
