Molspin was established in 1979 to market and sell products detecting magnetizm in geological rock samples. The range of products has changed over the years as the availability of microprocessor controllers and electronics has changed. However, Molspin's range provides the best combination of performance to price on the market. Whilst the spinner magnetometer is truly designed as a field instrument and is rechargeable battery powered, all of the instruments have been designed to use domestic electricity supplies and can be (and indeed have been) used on board ships.
Molspin's high sensitivity/low noise spinner magnetometers are designed for field work and are suitably ruggedised and battery powered. A single charge allows up to 8 hours continuous operation and the units can be recharged from a car battery if required.
Molspin's demagnetizers provide low and high field de-magnetization capability in a unit that can be used in hotel rooms if required. Samples are tumbled in two axes to ensure homogenous de-magnetization at field levels set by the user. Add-ons for the demagnetizer include a tumbler reversal unit and an anhysteretic remanent magnetization or partial anhysteretic remanent magnetization unit.
Molspin's Pulse Magnetizers combine high field magnetization with low electricity consumption in a small package that can be used in hotel rooms if required.
