Molspin's Products
Molspin's product offering allows users to obtain data in either the Paleo- or Environmental Magnetizm arenas. The products for each sector are essentially the same with small variations to allow the samples obtained in the different arenas to be carried and manipulated effectively. It is, therefore, important that the use of the equipment is highlighted at time of order.
All of Molspin's products are built to order in the UK. All products are export packed and can be sent to any country in the world. Indeed Molspin products are used in around 40 countries world-wide.
Molspin's Product Range comprises:-
Spinner Magnetometers - Molspin offer two variants of this field ruggedised instrument covering 1" (25.4mm) rock or soil samples and a larger version capable of carrying 2" (50.8mm) samples. These instruments are supplied with connections allowing control from any laptop or notebook with a spare USB port. Software is also supplied and a charger for the spinner magnetometers for recharging the on-board battery. Field life between charges is approximately 8 hours. Demagnetizer - This quasi-lab based instrument is offered in two variants covering powers up to 1000 Oersteds and powers up to 1500 Oersteds. The sample is "tumbled" in two axes within the specified field strength to ensure non directional magnetizing of the samples. An optional add-on allows for reversal of the tumbling mechanism where this is needed. More details can be found by clicking here.
Pulse Magnetizer - This quasi-lab based instrument is offered in two variants offering single scale magnetization up to 10,000 oersted (1.0T) or dual scale operation which keeps the high power of the single scale, but also allows magnetization powers down to 100 oersted with precision. ARM/PARM - This additional component, which works with the Demagnetizer described above, enables magnetizing fields of up to 1 Oersted to be applied to samples. Depending upon the product chosen, this allows Anhysteretic Remanent Magnetization or Partial Anhysteretic Remanent Magnetization to be undertaken. More details can be found by clicking here.
