Pulse Magnetizer
This quasi-lab based instrument is offered in two variants offering single scale magnetization up to 10,000 oersted (1.0T) or dual scale operation which keeps the high power of the single scale, but also allows magnetization powers down to 100 oersted with precision.
This device may be used to induce an IRM into a rock sample by use of a pulse technique. Rock or environmental samples of 1 inch (25.4mm) dia. and up to 1 inch (25.4mm) long may be subjected to fields up to 10,000 oersted (1.0 T). Because of the use of the pulse technique, the power requirement is less than 100W, so the instrument may be used from a domestic supply. (Total weight: 28kg)
